Problem running Wx::ActiveX: msg#00023

Subject: Problem running Wx::ActiveX
Hi,

I want to create a remote control application for Windows Media Player (So
I can interface my Slimp3 remote with it) and I found the Wx::ActiveX
package which seems to be a great way to do it. I have reasonable
experience with Perl (Unix) but none with Wx.

Unfortunately my current installation gives me the following error upon
running the wxIE.pl demo application:

C:\>wxIE.pl
the value is not an array reference at C:/Perl/site/lib/Wx/ActiveX/IE.pm
line 27.

Other apps I tried to create by merging the Synopsis WMP code and a Wx
Tutorial program give a similar error in a different location:

C:\>fourth.pl
the value is not an array reference at C:/Perl/site/lib/Wx/ActiveX.pm line
56.

My installation is as follows:
Windows XP SP2
ActivePerl-5.6.1.635-MSWin32-x86.msi
Wx-0.15-wxmsw2.4.1-win32-5.6.1
Wx-ActiveX-0.05-win32-5.6.1

The Wx demo applications I tried to run seem to work well.

I tried the same installation on a different XP machine with the same
results.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on here?

Thanks in advance,
Peter
