OS X problems with 0.18: msg#00013

Subject: OS X problems with 0.18
Hi,

I've had a few problems building the latest on OS X. At first it dies complaining that it can't use some given flag (sorry it fell off the buffer, it was "-undefined something") with MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET set to 10.1. That's because that variable is supposed to be set to 10.3. Doing so in the shell before relaunching the make causes it all to build. Good :)

The two first test batches pass perfectly well, but the STC tests produce zillions of:

/Users/robin/.cpan/build/Wx-0.18/ext/stc/../../blib/arch/auto/Wx/STC/STC.bundle undefined reference to __ZN16wxStyledTextCtrl8ClearAllEv expected to be defined in a dynamic image

where the reference changes each time.

Replacing the STC tests with one that does nothing makes everything pass. I'm not sure what the problem is with STC.

The other problem I have is that when I launch a WxPerl app (eg anything from the samples dir) from the command line, it is launched as a child of the terminal window that cannot be brought to be on top of it, cannot be interacted with (apart from closing it) with the mouse, and receives no input from the keyboard (it goes to the terminal no matter where the focus is). Is there some known solution to this? I tried various things without success.

Thanks for any help,
