FWIW that is much cleaner than I get on SuSE KDE.
Thanks for the report, I haven't installed from CPAN for a while
(my local copy always being to hand.)
The fails seem to be window manager related - which ones are you using?
That said there are still quite a few tests which "normally fail"
for some combination of locale, available fonts and window manager.
This could do with more tuning,
