I wasn’t saying anything to the contrary; just saying that that
is where the effort should be concentrated. :-)

For the record, PITA sounds like a really cool hack. Kudos if you
can pull it off.

Once the smoke tests are fixed so that “installs cleanly” can
actually be determined meaningfully, then I agree, it will be a
useful kwalitee metric.
