The course I mentioned was mainly for someone who is just beginning to 
learn programming with no prior experience. It is at 
http://www.greenteapress.com/thinkpython/ where you can purchase the 
book or download it for free. For more tutorials you could try 
http://awaretek.com/python/index.html. This site list a lot of books and 
tutorials and it also runs a podcast on python.
