Subject: Re: [Boston.pm] Puzzles online Re: Reminder: Tech Meeting Tues, Dec 9
Looks like the word list repository's links are broken.  The FTP site returns a 404 - file not found for all dictionaries I've tried.  However, I managed to use the sunspot-wireless-voodoo-universal-multi-platform exploit to find a workaround.  To prevent from going OT, you will need to parse this perl snip-it to figure out how do the correct URL transformation to find the dictionary you are looking for:

s,ftp://puzzlers.org/,http://www.puzzlers.org/anonftp/,;

example input data:
ftp://puzzlers.org/pub/wordlists/roget.txt

Hmm... maybe I should email the web admin.  Naa - they never listen to me.
BTW - I've used perl to solve a couple wesun puzzles about 4 years ago and my emails were ignored, too.  No one ever listens to me.

The worked examples are available *at least temporarily* in the "hidden" area
(spiderproofed? /x/ dir is scan-only, not readable)
 http : // world.std.com / ~wdr/ x/wesun/WESun.html
So paste together to make a working url -- so the Archivers don't make it a
spiderable link.
This is my temporary location ... so please don't link to it. If someone wants
a permanent archive for this, let's talk about where etc.

The first page includes the link to the word-list repository.

I've added some comments from tonight, but not re-run the scripts with
suggested changes. To Sleep, per chance to dream!

Would someone please repeat the several references mentioned to other semantic
web projects besides the Thesaurus modules I listed?

Bill
