Exclude core modules from executable?: msg#00004

Subject: Exclude core modules from executable?

Is there a reasonable way to turn off -B in pp to make a nearly- standalone executable? I'm working on a specialized app that will run only on MacOSX 10.4, and therefore is guaranteed to have Perl 5.8.6 installed. I'd like to shrink my multiple 5 MB executables by using the system distro as much as possible.

I'm contemplating subclassing PAR::Packer to accomplish this, but that seems so heavy-handed...
