Hi All,
I can't check to see if this is reported on rt.cpan as it's b0rken,
but when I installed version 2.18 I got "Operation `eq': no method
found" on every page of my web application.
A quick google provided a similar bug that was fixed back in 2001, and
somebody has found the same problem in Catalyst (so it's not just
Maypole).
Puzzingly the tests pass, despite the same error message causing tests
to fail back in 2005 , so I guess something Maypole and Catalyst TT
processing is tickling a bug not covered by the tests and introduced
between 2.15 and 2.18.
The exact error message I got was :
<<
[warn] [Maypole::View::TT line 45] TT error for template 'frontpage'
undef error - Operation `eq': no method found,\n\tleft argument in
overloaded package AvBrief::RouteBriefing::User,\n\tright argument has
no overloaded magic at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/Template/Stash.pm line 386
Anyway, as I can't afford to spend a billable day debugging it, I've
reverted back to 2.15.
regards,
Aaron.
