ttree evaluates its ignore pattern against the template name, which is
relative to the source directory: '.svn/*' in your case.  However, \b
doesn't match at the beginning of a string.

$ perl -e "print ('.svn/foo' =~ /\b\.svn/ ? 'match' : 'no match')"
no match
