stash oddity

running tt2 2.09, ran into an oddity with stash:

If I try this -

main.html
[% input.delete('id') %]
[% PROCESS news.html %]

news.html
[% UNLESS input.id %]

input id will still have any value it had before the delete/process
statements, and so will occaisionally be true.

If i do this -
main.html
[% SET input.id = 0 %]
[% PROCESS news.html %]

news.html
[% UNLESS input.id %]

input id will always be false.  any reason why the delete shouldn't work?
