It is the character that occupies position 160 (decimal) in both Latin-1
and Unicode character sets.  Depending on your OS and input locale etc
you might be able to enter it by holding down Alt and pressing 0160 on
the numeric keypad.  Some authoring environments (and word processors)
let you enter it by typing Ctrl-Space.
