Hi guys,

For those who don't read it, there's a report of a M::B failure on
cgiwin at:

http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=355707

That was me, and I intend to mail a more informative report here when
I have time (soon, I hope).

Great - but even just the output of the following would be helpful:

./Build test --test_files 't/compat.t t/install.t t/manifypods.t t/runthrough.t' --verbose 1

To put that in perspective, I'm not *saying* it's not portable, I'm
saying I think module authors are choosing to use M::B while not
having any idea what platforms it does/doesn't work on, or which
features. Nor do I know. The preceding part of the post was an
incitement toward including it in bleadperl so it does get tested on
more "minor" platforms.

One source of information on compatibility is here:

http://testers.cpan.org/show/Module-Build.html#Module-Build-0.25

Before throwing M::B into blead, it might be nice if Hugo could ask people to test 0.25, or the upcoming 0.26, on those "minor" platforms.

And I posted that there before making a proper bug report here simply
to show myself as an example of someone who is periodically trying
M::B and finding it not just working "out of the box". It's not just
an issue (as one comment stated) of a negative image based on people
having tried very old versions without success and never checking in
again.

Was that version 0.25 of M::B, or something older?
