Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Anyone know how widespread this 'MAKEFLAGS' thingy is? At worst, I guess people whose 'make's don't provide it will just be stuck with the existing behavior.

From the dmake manpage:

MFLAGS Is the list of flags that were given on
the command line including a leading
switch character. The -f flag is not
included in this list.

MAKEFLAGS Is the same as $(MFLAGS) but has no lead-
ing switch character. (ie. MFLAGS =
-$(MAKEFLAGS))

Finally found a copy of the 'dmake' man page, and I think the following is what we want:

MAKEMACROS Contains the complete list of macro
expressions that were specified on the
command line.

That's similar to Gnu make's 'MAKEFLAGS' variable, though in gnu make it will also contain actual *flags* like "-s" or whatever. In any case, it looks like for Gnu make we can use "$perl Build --makeflags MAKEFLAGS $action", and for dmake we can use "$perl Build --makeflags MAKEMACROS $action".

I don't yet see a similar functionality in nmake though.
