I think we ought to actually have that as a rigorous field, e.g.
META_spec: 0.01
or
META_spec: Foo::Company::META 0.01
I think the idea behind the "generated_by" field was something
essentially human-readable, so people could figure out who was to blame
if the generation went awry.
