Re: Problems with Net::LDAP::LDIF;: msg#00010

Subject: Re: Problems with Net::LDAP::LDIF;
I'm fully aware of the other directory level options, however in this case, due to access restrictions, and some compatibility issues (the procedures I'm working on must work against other directories) and admin size limit restrictions, I need to 'walk' the directory to extract the information. Otherwise, I'd be perfectly happy with the built-in utilities.

Cheers,

Erik

I'm trying to run a dump extraction against a Sun Directory server, and
instead of manually writing the output, I thought I'd use the
Net::LDAP::LDIF; library instead of writing an entry to LDIF dump routine
myself. However, it's not happy with the environment right now.

Unless you don't have access to the Sun directory system, the simplest thing to do is have the Sun system dump the database. It comes with a utility to do just that.
