No, I tried to use distribution how it is comes, by using
  cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs co
tools/dmake

It requires to change some ".rsp" files and then building process gives an
errors about lacking files.
Looks like I need to change more files than just those rsp, and there could
be something with version of Borland compiler (version 5.5 versus 5.0; looks
like they support 5.0 but in my configuration neither)
I did not investigated details, but those details are relatevely easy to
find.
