CGI::Session: msg#00039

Subject: CGI::Session
I can't remember specifically the recent issues that have cropped up here
re: CGI::Session, but I did just notice that CGI::Session has had 3 updates
in the last 5 days. The first updates to the module in the last 21 months.

So it looks like the author might be in a mood to fix any of the issues
we've noticed if he hasn't already. The change log so far looks like:

What is new in 4.00_03 - Friday, February 11, 2005

    * NEW: CGI::Session::find() introduced
    * NEW: traverse() introduced into drivers to support
CGI::Session::find()
    * DOCS: More complete driver specs documented

What is new in 4.00_02 - Wednesday, February 09, 2005

    * FIX: race conditions in Driver/file.pm pointed out by Martin Bartosch

What is new in 4.00_01 - Wednesday, February 09, 2005

    * NEW: load() - constructor method to prevent unnecessary session
creations
    * NEW: is_expired() - method to intercept expired sessions
    * NEW: is_empty() - to intercept requests for unexisting sessions
    * NEW: more optimized source code
    * NEW: updated and improved driver specs
    * NEW: standard testing framework
    * NEW: 'sqlite' driver

I think the load() constructor might solve one of the problems that were
causing some grief for some people on the list.

Anyways, I just noticed it, so I figured I'd give everyone the heads up in
case there were a couple other things that were over-looked and would be
nice to have in the official release.

The new release is a Developers release by the way, so we could probably
help get it to "official" status were some of us to install and test it.
