Issue on MacOS X 10.4.7 while running make test

I've opened threads on macosx@xxxxxxxx titled "Getting make test fail  
with Math::Pari" and
"Has anyone built Math::Pari on OS X 10.4.7"

I did a make install regardless and have the following debug output:

Is there some trick to installing Math::Pari on OS X 10.4.7?
