I had to do a clean install on one of my systems of 10.3.9 and, of
course, this wiped out my LWP modules. So I went to reinstall
Bundle::LWP again and forgot to install Xcode (and the BSD SDK) first
so, of course, the LWP installation failed. So I installed Xcode
(v1.0, and the BSD SDK) and tried the LWP installation again.
Unfortunately, all the module installations are failing with the
following general message:
Checking if your kit is complete...
Looks good
Writing Makefile for MIME::Base64
-- NOT OK
Running make test
Can't test without successful make
Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible
So I tried deleting the .cpan directory and installing fresh but it
continues to fail with the same errors.
I had no trouble installing LWP prior to reinstalling the system on
this machine so I'm wondering if there is something besides the .cpan
directory that I should clear before trying the install again? Or, is
there some other issue I should investigate?
