Hey, Michael, just noticed your email address. I spent
a year doing comp. chem in the UU chem department, as
it happens.

Wise words, my young padawan.

Sh-yeah. Although in my case it's more like that "wow"
happens in a though bubble, while I say "so what
happened at work today, dear?" for the sixth time in a
row to try and sound like I'm paying attention.

Oh dear. My wife has all the right personality traits
to be a doctor, very few of which are the right traits
to be a hacker. And Perl Golf is VERY hackerish -- you
need to really enjoy spending hours and hours tweaking
something even though the end result is completely
impractical.

Good luck! I should warn you that people aren't just
saying things when they tell you you'll be busier once
the baby arrives.

This is not the kind of thing to say on a mailing list
that includes '/anick and /\ndrew, methinks.
