try to set the properties of the folder the script runs in
to chmod-like read-write-execute for 'EVERYBODY' or 'IUSR_<COMPUTERNAME>'
in Security Settings.

Betreff: Where did I go wrong?
Hi. I have installed Active Perl on a Win2K Adv. Box and tried to configure
IIS to recognize my .pl scripts, but it's not working. I keep getting
"Execute Access Forbidden"...
Here's what I did...
1. I ran the Perl Install
2. I went into IIS and set the cgi-bin folder to Scripts and Executables
3. I went into the default web properties (that's where the cgi-bin
directory is) and mapped the .pl extension to point to the Perl.exe file
Isn't that enough? I also changed the folder permissions in Windows Explorer
for cgi-bin so IUSER_<servername> has RX permission. Still didn't work. Do I
need to reboot Win2K after an ActivePerl install? It didn't ask for one...
I have this working fine on an NT 4.0 Development Box but can't duplicate it
on the 2K Box. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Sam
