Or more likely, you're the more capable vim pilot :)

Emacs can usually be twisted into doing absolutely anything you want, 
but getting there can be arbitrarily complex and probably will break in 
the next release...

That was my plan, yes.

I'll check this in as misc/Nindent (by analogy with the Lindent script 
for Linux) and do the conversion.
