BTW, w/r/t build system licenses, GPL is no good for anything distributed with luacheia. LGPL is OK but not preferred. MIT is preferred. I'm interested in SCons itself (MIT License), due to the feature set and level of community support. My ulterior motive is that I would like to learn it for use in other projects. The main drawback is that it requires Python -- a strange dependency for luacheia.
