OK, so who'll be doing stuff?: msg#00062lang.jython.user
I'm very excited to see that a lot of people still care about Jython! :) * Frank mentioned RedHat. * Kent mentioned EU, funding PyPy considerably (how did PyPy do it? That was an impressive feat!) * leouser mentioned Sun for javax.script/Jython binding, and advertising for help on java.net * Walter mentioned... well, the big names :) * Sean mentioned Nokia in addition to others, and his own company So, to move forward faster, who would be in the position to contact these companies? Apparently for the big names it's a bit of a catch 22, since they care a lot about "pulse", and right now we're working towards providing that. So I guess the first thing that we can do is advertising on java.net? Would that be Frank? How did Brian recruit the current Jython team back then? As for me, my company doesn't use Jython--they picked Groovy :( However I'd help in adding Javadocs to the more visible classes, whenever I can :) Cheers, Ray ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
