Subject: Standard workaround for scripts requiring set working directories?

Dear all,

I've read about the differerences between Python and Jython with (not) handling chdir and some other functions due to the nature of Java.

May I ask, what is the standard workaround that people use when using Jython as a scripting language to execute and control legacy programs that require the working directory to be set to a specific path (in Unix)? Is there *some* way of handling these sort of scripts in Jython?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Chris Wood
