Re: Lack of software abstractions

It has not yet been done because the style of
working in J is different from the style in APL
in the old old days.  Also because of the
"dustbin" phenomenon previously mentioned.
Anyway the following is how you can do it.

To save everything, done in 3 lines:

nl_z_=: 4!:1
allnames=: ; <@((3 : 'nl__y i.4') ,&.> '_'&,@(,&'_')&.>)"(0) 18!:1 i.2
