J's documentation: msg#00189lang.j.general
J's reference documentation is terse, and dense. I think this is a good thing (reference works should focus on core issues, and not waste a person's time with introductory material), but people also need introductory material. We have a variety of books out there, introducing various audiences to J (Henry Rich's book is a classic example). Perhaps some people feel that they are a part of some different audience -- one that would find another approach more interesting? If so, perhaps we could fruitfully pin down the character of this audience (or these audiences?). -- Raul |
