#838: GHC binary for FreeBSD/amd64 ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: alter | Owner: Type: feature request | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: 6.4.2 Severity: normal | Resolution: Keywords: | Os: FreeBSD Difficulty: Unknown | Architecture: x86_64 (amd64) ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Comment (by duncan): As I understand, the GHC developers did not provide an initial binary for x86 FreeBSD either. So yes, you'll need to ask the Haskell FreeBSD ports maintainers to bootstrap from sources. This should be fairly straightforward as they'd only be porting from x86 FreeBSD (or x86-64 Linux) to x86-64 FreeBSD. There are detailed instructions for porting here: http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/latest/html/building/sec-porting-ghc.html #unregisterised-porting -- Ticket URL: <http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/838> GHC <http://www.haskell.org/ghc/> The Glasgow Haskell Compiler_______________________________________________ Glasgow-haskell-bugs mailing list Glasgow-haskell-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.haskell.org/mailman/listinfo/glasgow-haskell-bugs
