[GHC] #834: bogus gcc option used when compiling ghc-6.4.2: msg#00080lang.haskell.glasgow.bugs
#834: bogus gcc option used when compiling ghc-6.4.2 ---------------------------------------+------------------------------------ Reporter: mvanier@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Owner: Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: Compiler | Version: 6.4.2 Severity: trivial | Keywords: Os: Linux | Difficulty: Easy (1 hr) Architecture: x86 | ---------------------------------------+------------------------------------ I'm compiling ghc-6.4.2 using gcc-4.1.1 on a gentoo linux system. It's going fine, except that there are persistent warnings about the unrecognized "-nopie" option. Presumably this is meant to be the opposite of the "-pie" (position independent executable) option, but apparently it isn't a valid option (at least not on this compiler). I just wanted to bring this to your attention. -- Ticket URL: <http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/834> GHC <http://www.haskell.org/ghc/> The Glasgow Haskell Compiler_______________________________________________ Glasgow-haskell-bugs mailing list Glasgow-haskell-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.haskell.org/mailman/listinfo/glasgow-haskell-bugs
