Things have improved, but "make html" still fails, this time when building the 
Haddock documentation for the base package:

   haddock: modules are recursive: Control.Exception GHC.Conc GHC.TopHandler 
Prelude System.IO GHC.Handle GHC.IO Data.IORef

SimonM: Is "make html" part of the nightly builds? It should definitely be, as 
in the past it turned out to be one of the stages with most bugs in it...
