While trying to fix #492, I noticed:

 > ./conc049 +RTS -hc
 conc049: <<loop>>

 conc049: <<loop>>

 conc049: <<loop>>

 conc049: thread blocked indefinitely
 }}}

 but the program works as expected without +RTS -hc, even if compiled for
 profiling.
