I just tried this using various GHC 6.5 snapshots. The latest was
20050729 and it still has this problem. Build 20050620 works fine, but
Build 20050622 fails (I also succeeded with 20050602 and 20050615, and
failed with 20050623, 20050625, 20050702, and probably others.)

I noticed that on 2005-06-21 the build failed. I also noticed that
before 2005-06-21, the tar.gz's are ~1 larger than the ones after
2005-06-21.

Yet, I didn't see any commits (from cvs-ghc) that would have directly
caused something to break for System.Directory. I am at a loss as to
what the problem is.
