Summary: Runtime exception on Windows, possibly due to bit operations

Initial Comment:
>From david.amos@xxxxxxxxxxx

The attached code works fine when interpreted.
However, when compiled, it causes a runtime exception.
This appears to affect the windows distribution only.

Fixed by rev. 1.192 of ghc/rts/Linker.c (merged to STABLE
as 1.171.2.12).

ghc-6.4.1 will have the fix included. Until it is out, compile all
code destined for GHCi with -fvia-C (win32 platform only.)

A fine bug report; seems to be triggered by using the native
code generator.

Until the issue has been resolved (and a new release is out),
work around it by compiling the module with -fvia-C added to
your ghc command line.
