ghci 6.5 on winxp "panic"/"loadObj: failed": msg#00083lang.haskell.glasgow.bugs
I've been able to get "make" and "make install" to complete for building GHC from CVS HEAD, depositing new compiler etc in /usr/local (under cygwin). When I run /usr/local/ghci.exe, I get this error: bash-2.05b$ /usr/local/bin/ghci ___ ___ _ / _ \ /\ /\/ __(_) / /_\// /_/ / / | | GHC Interactive, version 6.5, for Haskell 98. / /_\\/ __ / /___| | http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ \____/\/ /_/\____/|_| Type :? for help. Loading package base-1.0 ... ghc.exe: panic! (the `impossible' happened, GHC version 6.5): loadObj: failed Please report it as a compiler bug to glasgow-haskell-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxx, or http://sourceforge.net/projects/ghc/. ghc.exe: Unknown PEi386 section name `.ctors' bash-2.05b$ Does that error message suggest anything? - Conal
