ghci 6.5 on winxp "panic"/"loadObj: failed"

I've been able to get "make" and "make install" to complete for building
GHC from CVS HEAD, depositing new compiler etc in /usr/local (under
cygwin).  When I run /usr/local/ghci.exe, I get this error:

Does that error message suggest anything?  - Conal
