ghc 6.2 broken on Win98

Hi!

In order to check if ghc-6.2 has some problems in running under win4lin in
MSYS/MinGW environment, I installed it on native Win98 partition and it fails
with the same error which I already reported in a thread "Hello world fails on 
Win32" - 

Failed: C:\GHC\GHC-6.2\gcc -B"C:\GHC\GHC-6.2\gcc-lib/" -I. -I. -c c:\windows\tem
p\ghc-511675.s -o main.orawSystem: does not exist (No such file or directory)
*** Deleting temp files

Is there anybody who can confirm/refute this error on Win98?

p.s. 6.0.1 works nicely and building from source fails on the same spot.
