Summary: bad type does bad things

Initial Comment:
If I create a type like this:

data Test a = T a
 deriving Show a

I get:

*Main> :l test.hs
Compiling Main             ( teste.hs, interpreted )
ghc-5.04.2: panic! (the `impossible' happened, GHC
version 5.04.2):
        nameModule a{-r1qo-}
