Expect-like behaviour

Hello,

I am brand new to Groovy so this may be a pathetic "newbie" question
but...

I use Python+Pexpect to create tests for certain types of Java program
-- in preference to using Expect, I prefer Python to TCL.  It struck me
that Groovy ought to be able to do this sort of thing.  Wandering around
teh Groovy home page I haven't found anything but this may be me not
looking hard enough.

Has anyone done any work on Expect-like behaviour using Groovy?
