sorting in tv

Is sorting in tv not done at each automatic polling ???

I have a tv watching an ets table which is updated regularly.
The tv is 
set manually to run automatic polling, 
and sorting in ascending order based on column 4.

The update only changes certain values in column 3 and 4 of the table.
After a while, I notice that the table is not sorted any more
unless I manually do the sorting again.

Is this the expected behavior ?
