More observations: when kde visual effects are disabled, i have 3.5FPS in glxgears and poor 2D performance. when i have them enabled, i have 800-1200 FPS and good 2D. Looks strange. Also, when kde effects are enabled, i have weird artifacts in NetBeans editor: after scrolling text down and then up - shows another top text line, not that what was before scrolling down.
