Playing with an eclipse plugin for forrest.
Over at the Burrokeet project we already have a working Forrest plugin for
Eclipse.
Cool, I googled but I did not see anything.
Plus I wanted an excuse to work with an eclipse plugin.
I would be more than happy to ask the community there to move the
code base over to here if there is interest in it here too. We are currently
under the MIT license and so I see no problem with changing the license to
suit the Krysalis project.
Our plugin currently works with both Tomcat and Jetty. You can start an
instance of Forrest and Stop it as well as seed a new project. The
properties file is currently not managed by Eclipse, but this appears to be
where you have done most work so far.
Really I have no work just a modified hello world.
See
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=104679 for our code base.
Cool I will look tonight. I got very stuck in the ILaunchConfiguration
stuff.
We also have a plugin that enables you to view the pages in a browser within
Eclipse.
Awesome.
Our developers over on Burrokeet will continue to support the code if it
moves here.
I would recommend trying a donation to Forrest instead, especially now
that Forrest is a top level apache project.
R,
Nick
