It took a little time to learn the new way things are being done in KDE4, I
found that by using the Console Profiles Widget and enabling the Show New Tab
and Close Tab buttons in the tab bar in the edit profile tab dialog I got the
functionality I was looking for.

A nice touch would be in the Console Profiles Widget to have a check box on
each entry and a check all button and a open checked button so a bunch of
session profiles can be opened as tabs on the open or new console.
