When I select some text in konsole, I cannot paste it anywhere with a middle
click as I used to.  The only way that cutting and pasting works now in konsole
is is I select "copy" from the edit menu, and then I can "Edit->Paste" in
another konsole.  But pasting into other programs (emacs, Firefox, konqueror)
does not work.  Selections from konsole do not appear in the klipper menu
either.
