[Kernel-janitors] [Patch] - lmc_main.c - Linux 2.6.0

This patch replaces the check_region call in lmc_probe with a request_region 
and release_region call.

Reason: check_region is deprecated in the 2.6 kernel

Timing: this patch is intended to be applied after the 2.6 freeze is lifted.
