Use of 'Notes'?

I am a very new user of Kontact (vers 1.0) and althugh I have Notes as a 
selected component, and can create and edit a 'Note' - I cannot see any 
reference to this new note in my Kontact anywhere else.

A screenshot I saw recently, suggested that the note would be seen 
listed on the Summary page.
I canot see it there.

What should I be doing to make Notes useful please?
