Subject: Re: silly question about screensaver

Hi Herbert,

My initial "guess", as I am a newbie to Linux, is that your computer
has a standby mode or energy saver which is cutting in and blanks
the screen saver.

I have my PC set to go to screen saver mode which it is does for a
short time before my energy settings power down and eventually
shut down the monitor.

Anyhow I am sure you will a response from one of the experienced
members of the list. They have certainly helped me.

Best wishes,
John
