Subject: Re: Is Mandrake linux FREE?

Mandrake Linux IS free. You can download the GPLed 3-CD version for free (just
say you think about joinning the Club later). Some commercial apps are not
included (can't be) in the GPL version.

Linux is free. Linux is only the kernel. The question to sell a distribution
or to give it away is a choice of the makers of each distribution.

And, last but not least, lots of people work to make a distribution what it
is. Some do it to earn money to live. If you use a distribution, like (or
love) it, and would like to see a next (and maybe better) version comming
soon, you should consider supporting the people who make it.

Regards

Thierry
