Addressbook conduit for KPilot?

Hi,
Did the recent changes to the addressbook break the KPilot conduit? If so, is 
anybody working on fixing it?
(I know the conduit needs to be rewritten anyway to make use of the 
addressbook library instead of direct communication with the addressbook 
app.)
