Trap closeEvent

I am trying to trap the close even but cannot get the syntax for the slot declaration.

use Qt::slots
    closeEvent => [ Qt::Event ];

That is wrong but I don't know what it should be.  I tried [ QEvent ] and a few other combinations.

When I get that working. What should the slot look like? Can I just use shift?

sub closeEvent
{
    $QEventPointer = shift;

    if ( User has not selected an option yet )
    {
        $QEventPointer->ignore();
    }
}
