With AWK syntax highlightung, patterns between slashes, e.g.
        / pattern / {action}
        / pattern / {action}
are highlighted in red, which is very fine here.
However, slashes also are used for mathematical divisions.
Example:
        a = 3 / (2*b)
        b = 3 + 4
        c = 5 + 6 
        d = 3 / (2*c)
Again, Kate will highlight everything between the slashes, which is very 
confusing here.
